Duane Thomas

President

Duane is a Design Engineer for Lonza, Walkersville, Maryland. He studied CAD Design at Governor Thomas Johnson High School and studied CAD Design at Frederick Community College, Frederick Maryland. He has mentored for 3 years for the Governor Thomas Johnson High School Robotics Team #5841, The Patriots. He is the current President for Mind Works

Vice President 

Gareth is a Software Engineer with Lockheed Martin. He learned a love for STEM from Mrs. Werner graduating from Governor Thomas Johnson High School in 2011. He then studied at Shepherd University, graduating in 2015 with a B.S. In Computer Engineering. Leveraging experience in robotics from college he has spent 4 seasons of mentoring the Governor Thomas Johnson High School Robotics Team #5841.

Bryce P. Kelley, currently completing a Full-Time general studies/business major at Frederick Community College, and one of the six founders of Mind Works. Mentor for US FIRST Robotics Team #5841, The Patriots. Treasurer for Mind Works.

Brandon Thomas

Web Master

Brandon is currently enrolled at Capitol Technology University, Laurel Maryland, Majoring in Computer Engineering Technology. He is an Alumni Mentor for Governor Thomas Johnson High School Robotics Team #5841, The Patriots.

Tonya Thomas

Secretary 

Tonya has a B.S. Degree in business and Finance from Mount Saint Mary's University, Emmitsburg, Maryland.  She has mentored for 2 years for Governor Thomas Johnson High School Robotics Team #5841, The Patriots. She has experience as administrative secretary for Treasures of the Heart Worship Center and Wind Works.

Vivienne Werner

Executive Director

Vivienne E. Werner, veteran public school teacher, holding secondary certificates in Maryland and New Jersey in business education and computer science/technology. Under-graduate work, Rider University. Retired Adjunct Instructor Frederick Community College. Masters Equiv. Lead Mentor for US FIRST Robotic Team #5841, The Patriots. Executive Director Werner's Mind Works Corporation.

 

Aiming with Werner's Mind Works Corporation to implement and expand the step by step informed engineering design instructional design process through holding and sponsoring extracurricular events with affordable competitions. Thus allowing students to experience first hand success, defeat and understanding second chances through refinement.

Jessie is a sophomore at GTJHS, and a Co-President of the Robotics Team #5841, The Patriots. She plans to major in mechanical engineering and minor in robotics, she is currently and intern for Mind Works.

Austin is a Senior at GTJHS, and the other Co-President of the Robotics team #5841, The Patriots. He plans to major in Mechanical Drafting. He is currently and intern for Mind Works.

Zoe is a junior at GTJHS, and is currently the Secretary and next year will be the Vice President of the Robotics Team #5841, The Patriots. She plans to major in biomedical engineering, and she is currently an intern for Mind Works.

Megan is a sophomore at GTJHS and is currently Vice President and next year will be Co-President with Jessie Hart of The Robotics Team #5841. In the future, she plans on studying Mathematics and Computer Science. She is an intern for Mind Works.
